The room was full of Engineers from different species. Many of them were armed. Some with Federation weapons others with Klingon and Romulan weapons. They all reacted quickly to find cover. (edited)

She continues to fire her phaser upon the engineers, picking them off one by one as she ran for cover.

Samantha stayed in cover and pulled out her rifle, setting it to high stun. She then got out of cover every so often and fired at the engineers. "We could do a wide beam, stun a lot of them at the same time." She said as she took some cover again.

It was a wide open space with lots of consoles and other assorted canisters and bulkheads to hid behind. The mercenaries fired back at them. They peered out of their cover to fire back though they didn’t have the best aim. The blasts hit all around the Security officers.

He decided to push into Engineering attempting to take cover behind one of the consoles.

He looked to Samantha. "Its worth a try but most of them are in cover."

The mercenaries were more spread out and further away then the last time this was tried. They continued firing at the Starfleet officers. Only a few had been hit by their phaser fire there were at least 5 on the upper area of Engineering firing on them from above the others were further back behind the warp core at least 7 in different positions around Engineering.

She frowned at the engineers firing at them from the upper areas and discreetly went over to the ladder that went up to them. She began to climb, keeping a hand on her phaser as she climbed to make sure she could still defend herself.

She rolled to a console that was nearby and fired at the engineers. This was quite the battle. If anyone would get close, they'd probably become cut in half. The power of blades.

She narrowly dodges a phaser fire and winced. She should have asked someone to cover for her. She fires back at the engineer who had fired at her and stunned him. She kept on climbing.

One of the Reman’s charged at Sam and knocked her phaser out of her hand with his Reman rifle with the bayonet attachment. One of the Engineers grazed Emin with their fire only a slight flesh wound.

She quickly pulled her sword and stabbed the person straight through the abdomen before pulling the blade out and kicking him to the side before going into cover again.

She winces as she makes it to the top and fires at the Engineers on the top of Engineering. She catches most of them by surprise.

Emin was able to take out all of the Mercenaries at the top floor. The ones on the ground continued to fire at Sam and Austin.

After finishing off the engineers at the top, she began to fire at the ones on the bottom where Lieutenants Voxellus and Whidbey were. She took one of the longer ranged weapons from a knocked out Orion and fired at the engineers on the ground after setting it to stun.

She pulled a throwing knife from her sleeve and twirled it around in her hand for a moment before breathing out and throwing it with great precision, hitting someone between the eyes. She only had two knives left, so she was going to resort to her rifle for now. She set it to high stun and kept firing at them.

The ones that remained realized their position was compromised. One remained in cover firing at Emin while the rest attempted a charge they surrounded Sam and Austin. One then attempted to stab at Sam from her side another slashed at her with a Bat’leth in front of her.

She quickly shot the engineer still firing at her before going for the ones around the Lieutenants. She tapped her combadge as to not scream across the room. [Comms] "Lieutenant, I think the wide beam would be more affective now since they're closer together. I'll cover you."

She jumped backwards to let the slash and stab go in front of her instead of in her. She then used her sword to pierce the person in front of her before pulling the knife on the back of her hip and planting it between the neck and shoulder of the man with the knife, puncturing his trachea and aorta. She then pulled both the blade and the sword out and cut the throat of the man in front of her and then going back into cover. [Comm] "Well, no time like the present, Ensign. Get to it."

She started to fire upon the engineers who were the greatest threat, stunning them before they could district the ensign from doing her job.

There was only 3 left they had moved to attack Sam who was the greater threat right now to them. One stabbed Sam in the side of abdomen. Missing all her vital organs but, definitely hurt. The others missed their slashes toward her.

She shot the one who had stabbed Lieutenant Voxellus but couldn't get a great angle for the other two. She adjusted her position and fired again.

She whinched and dropped her knife to put her hand over the wound to lessen her bleeding. She them turned her sword so that the blade was perpendicular with her arm and sliced both their throats in one swift motion by doing a 180 spin as she extended the blade. She then slumped down against the nearby console, trying to stop her bleeding.

She put the phaser rifle down after securing the room and headed down to the main floor. She hopped off of the ladder and headed over to the Lieutenant. [Comms] "Bridge, we have a wounded Lieutenant here. Permission to have her transported to sickbay?"

She nodded and went over to shut down transporters and weapons before getting up to leave.

Despite the Ensign not being an Engineer (nor presumably being fluent in Romulan console displays and layouts) she managed to shut down the systems after a little bit of a fight with the console. Thankfully it was before any other officers arrived to stop them.
